Safety for parents and players
Kopi Kaki is a friendly place to hang out. Here is how we keep it that way, and what players and parents can do.
How Kopi Kaki keeps players safe
For players aged 13 and up
Everyone confirms they are 13 or older when they start playing. Kopi Kaki is not designed for younger children.
Filtered chat
Chat, mottos and room names pass through a filter for common English and Singlish swear words, and hidden or look-alike characters are removed.
Ignore and report
Click any player to ignore them (their chat disappears for you) or to report them. Chat lines and rooms can be reported too. Reports save a copy of what was said for moderators.
Room owners are in charge
Anyone who owns a room can remove a player from it. Moderators can mute or ban players anywhere.
No real money
There are no purchases with real money. Kaki Dollars are play money that cannot be bought, sold or cashed out, and board games are never played for real money.
Your data, your choice
We follow Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Players can download their data or delete their account at any time from the Account menu. Chat history is deleted after 30 days.
Tips for staying safe online
- Never share your password, full name, address, school or phone number.
- Kopi Kaki staff will never ask for your password.
- If someone makes you uncomfortable, ignore them, leave the room and report them.
- Only meet people from the game in real life with a parent or guardian's knowledge.
For parents
Kopi Kaki is designed for players aged 13 and up. There is nothing to buy with real money, so there are no surprise bills. Talk with your teen about who they chat with, and show them how to use Ignore and Report.
