Kopi Kaki Social Club is a free, Singapore-made, retro pixel-art multiplayer social game, now in beta, that you play in your web browser: a virtual kopitiam where Singaporeans make friends online and chill. Chat, call your kakis, play board games and arcade mini-games, adopt a pet, work jobs for Kaki Dollars and decorate your own room.

Yes. Kopi Kaki is free to play, and everything in it can be played without paying. The in-game currency, Kaki Dollars, is earned by playing. There are also optional premium currencies, Gold and Diamonds, described below.

Yes. Kopi Kaki Social Club is in beta. It is playable and free, but still being built, so expect the occasional bug and new features arriving often. Player feedback directly shapes what we fix and build next.

Gold and Diamonds are optional premium currencies for rare furniture, bigger room layouts and extra room slots. Buying them with real money is not open yet. You can never earn them by playing, you never need them to play, and they cannot be cashed out. Gold can be converted into Kaki Dollars and Diamonds into Gold, but never the other way round. Players under 18 should ask a parent or guardian before buying anything.

Yes. Kopi Kaki is made in Singapore and set in Singapore-inspired places: a kopitiam, a hawker centre, an HDB void deck, Merlion Park, an office tower at Raffles Place and a shopping mall. Chat is in English, and Singlish is very welcome.

In Singapore and Malaysia, a "kopi kaki" is a coffee buddy: the friends you meet regularly for kopi and a chat. That is exactly what the game is about.

No. Kopi Kaki runs in any modern web browser on a computer, tablet or phone. Just open the game and play.

Kopi Kaki is for players aged 13 and up. Chat is filtered for bad language, players can ignore or report anyone, room owners can remove people from their rooms, and moderators can mute or ban players who break the rules. Parents should still talk with their teens about staying safe online, such as never sharing their address, school or phone number.

You can design your avatar, make friends and message or call them, chat and hang out, order drinks at the kopitiam, play arcade mini-games like Kopi Catch and the Dragon Boat Race, play Chinese chess, checkers, Connect Four, tic-tac-toe, snakes and ladders and Shadow Court, adopt and care for a pet, work jobs to earn Kaki Dollars, open a shop in the mall, and build and decorate your own rooms.

Yes. Add friends in the game, see which room they are in, join them with one tap, invite them to your room and send private messages. You can play board games, card games and the Dragon Boat Race together.

Walk into the kopitiam, sit down and say hi. Click a player to add them as a friend, then see when they are online, join their room with one tap, invite them over, message them or call them. Board games, Shadow Court and the Dragon Boat Race are great ways to get to know people, and nobody minds if you just want to chill.

Yes. Open the Phone in the More menu to call a friend, or start a group call of up to 8 players. Audio goes directly between players, and you hold a phone to your ear in the game while you talk. Voice calls need a secure (HTTPS) connection and a microphone.

Shadow Court is a game of hidden roles, secret votes and missions for 5 to 10 players. Loyal players try to complete the missions while evil players hide among them. You can play it at the round tables in Court Hall, and anyone can watch.

Anyone aged 13 and up who wants a relaxed place to meet people: students after school, colleagues after work, friends who live far apart, Singaporeans overseas who miss the kopitiam, and anyone who just wants to chill and chat.

Yes. Adopt a cat, dog, parrot, rabbit, hamster, tortoise or Singapore otter at the Pet Shop. Pets follow you around, need feeding, play and baths like a Tamagotchi, learn tricks and can dig for treasure. They never die.

Kaki Dollars are the in-game currency. You earn them with a daily allowance, by working jobs and by winning board games, and spend them on furniture and clothes. They are play money only: they cannot be sold or cashed out for real money.

Log in daily for your allowance, work shifts as a barista, office clerk, mall cashier or hawker chef, score well in arcade mini-games, win board games and the Dragon Boat Race against other players, let your pet dig for treasure, and sell items in your own shop.

Yes. Kopi Kaki works in mobile browsers: tap to walk, drag to look around, and the menus adapt to small screens.

Yes. Sign up for a free account with a username and password. It keeps your Kaki Dollars, rooms and furniture, and it is needed to collect daily rewards. Guest play has been removed, and players who started as guests are prompted to save their account.

Yes. Volunteers start as a Kaki, the entry role for guiding players and helping keep the kopitiam friendly, then can grow into a Moderator, who welcomes players, gathers feedback and suggests improvements, or a Game Master, who hosts events and makes the game more fun.
